RevitCity is not just a place to download free Revit families, but it is also a central place where you can get your questions answered, share your latest ideas or creations, and easily find the content you are looking for. RBI Water Heaters. Mestek has created a library of BIM objects for free download and use by the design community. Extract hatch patterns to PAT files - copy hatches between DWGs. The free LISP utility by CAD Studio - PatOut - can generate hatch pattern definition files in the.PAT format from your DWG drawings. Any selected hatch will be converted to a separate PAT file with the hatch definition.
Need new hatch patterns for Revit?11/11/2018 Hatch patterns are incredibly useful graphics that communicate that materials used on your drawings. Like Autocad, Revit Architecture comes with a handful of hatch patterns. Called 'Filled Patterns' in Revit, these can be found under the Manage tab, Additional Settings and Fill Patterns. These patterns come with two types: Drafting and Model. 'Drafting' patterns are most often used for cross sections. These types of patterns do not have a size and change depending on scale being used in the Revit view. 'Model' patterns are typically used for surfaces, therefore appear on plans and elevations. It won't take long for you to outgrow the fill patterns available in Revit. You will then have the choice of creating additional patterns and/or uploading new patterns into Revit. Follow these steps to get your started:

Create Pat File Revit
Masonry iQ for Revit adds support for masonry products in Autodesk® Revit® with custom bond patterns, properly bonded layout, bond beams, masonry sections and other tools. It allows users to create masonry specific wall type families with additional properties.
Masonry iQ walls will generate custom PAT files in elevation, sections that show true masonry coursing and sweeps at bond beam locations. PAT files and sections can be purged to manage file size.
The Analyze Bond tool will calculate the proper layout based on the assigned bond pattern and may take some time to generate on large jobs. Non-modular walls will show a bond cut icon where field cuts will be required to maintain bonding at corners. These icons can be moved by dragging them to a new location if the bond cuts will remain in the design. Ideally, the wall lengths will be adjusted to eliminate the cuts and create a modular design.
Use the standard join options in Revit at Masonry iQ wall corners to modify the bond type at corners. Corners that are not 90 degrees cannot be mechanically bonded and default to miter, though they can be changed to squared off. Material schemas can be mapped to bond patterns using images from participating manufacturers. These schemas can be used to render masonry on a model in Revit or other applications.
Features:
- Study Modularity
- Properly Bonded Corners
- See Cuts at Openings
